Among numerous accomplishments, Don and his band won the $50,000 Grand Prize at Nashville's True Value Showdown at the Grand Ol' Opry with his original music, the Grand Prize custom Gibson Les Paul guitar from Jim Beam's Back Room Band Search, and he’s a six-time winner of the title, "Maine's Best Singer-Songwriter” from the Maine Sunday Tele-gram's Reader's Poll. Don has also received national recognition for his Double CD Release, Kites To Fly - Celebrating The Music of Dan Fogelberg which was endorsed by the Fogelberg Association of Peoria. In 2020, Don was nominated as a Top 10 Finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards for ‘Best Male Artist’ and was inducted into the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame in 2021.
