Tenor saxophonist Neal Bowens is a favorite at Jazz Café. He plays a funky mix of contemporary jazz and old-school favorites, with a personal nod to legendary artists like Grover Washington Jr.The NB Project showcases some of Richmond’s finest with John Saure on guitar, Phil Thompson on bass, Ray Grady on drums, Alfred Walker on keys, and Dave Triplett on trumpet.
Dominion Energy Jazz Café hosts free, in-person performances by some of the area’s best jazz musicians at VMFA every Wednesday in partnership with the Richmond Jazz Society.
