About this Event
Dominick Pupa has no idea how anyone thought he was straight. Including himself. From singing Phantom and voguing at the wedding to his first wife, to almost being imprisoned - in drag - to protect his second wife, Dominick Pupa's life IN the closet is somehow the gayest story ever told. You're invited to a special evening celebrating Pride and the awkward, hilarious road to getting there with, "SURPRISING NO ONE: An Unnecessarily Dramatic Coming Out Story From Somebody Everyone Already Knew Was Gay." Live musicians for this event will be announced shortly.
Dominick Pupa is an NYC-based comedian, host and song parodist. He's a former warmup comic for more than a dozen TV shows including The View, Tyra Banks, Ricki Lake, and Live with Kelly. His Carnegie Hall debut came as the host of the Lucie Awards and he celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots with a sold-out 4-week run of Twirled History, a comedic reimagining of life if gay people had run the world from the beginning of time. He premiered his one-man works, "Gypsies, Tramps & Me," and "Cherstruck" right here at The Cutting Room. He currently cohosts the podcast "Fixing Famous People," and appears as Mister P in the Roku series, “Lo: The New Adventures of Ultimate Man’s Ex-Girlfriend.” He and his husband split their time between Hudson Valley and The Bronx with their bulldog, Gravy. His website is www.dommentary.com.
