About this Event
Join artist Dominick Cocozza in an arts and culture conversation titled “Artist Dialogues: Finding Community and Home Through Art,” with leading community voices Tiana Ochoa Teo (President of the Guatemalan Center of New England) and curator María Fernanda Mancera (Assistant Curator of Indigenous Art, RISD Museum). This evening’s program will open with an introduction to each guest speaker's professional practice and context for Cocozza’s solo show Me acuerdo (I Remember).
The panel discussion will explore perspectives on how art-making allows for cultural discovery, resource exchange, and fostering a sense of home. Drawing upon the impactful work of our guest speakers, this public event aims to inspire and reflect on the current moment of the arts landscape. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask the panelists questions following the concluding remarks.
