Training – DV-alert 2-day Foundations Workshop designed for frontline workers.Please join us to gain valuable skills, network with other service providers, and play a role in supporting communities affected by family and domestic violence.
This 2-day workshop is for frontline workers to learn how to:
• Recognise the signs of family violence,
• Respond appropriately to immediate needs, and
• Refer clients to culturally appropriate support services.
The workshop covers the nature and scope, patterns, and impacts of family violence, considerations for diverse groups, communication skills, safety planning, referral pathways, and more. This workshop is the first step of the accreditation pathway for those who wish to obtain a nationally recognised unit of competency.
This workshop is catered; please include any dietary requirements when registering.
