
About this Event
When the Australian importer Lachlan Cuffe offered us the chance to host a Robert Groffier dinner, we jumped at the chance. Take a look at the lineup of wine below – it’s hard not to get excited. Please join us for look at some of the best cuvees from this famous domaine, including what should be a fascinating comparison of their two Les Amoureuses bottlings. To match the occasion, we will dine in the private room at Azuma – one of Sydney’s best Japanese restaurants. 10 customers only.
Please note: no one from the winery will be in attendance. The dinner will be hosted by Lachlan Cuffe (Australian importer) and Chesterton Cook (Five Way Cellars).

Notes here from William Kelley on Domaine Robert Groffier: Nicolas Groffier today presides over this eight-hectare domaine, where cordon pruning is the order of the day in the vineyards, and which is blessed with an enviable patrimony of terroirs. Groffier had racked his 2023s to tank shortly before my visit, in preparation for their bottling, telling me that he elected to destem everything in this abundant vintage. Percentages of new wood are increasingly modest and carefully chosen, and the wines privilege fruit and texture. This was my first visit to Groffier's cellars, and I look forward to getting to know his wines better over the years to come.
