About this Event

Dom has been filling dance floors since the early 1990s with his beautifully blended, open minded mix of music steeped in soul, jazz and funk. DJing under the Wah Wah 45s banner, Dom has become something of a clubbing institution.

Also a successful radio DJ and music journalist, Dom’s sets are best extended and forward thinking, taking in hip hop, latin, electronica, house, jungle, disco, jazz and everything in between. The last couple of decades have seen Dom DJ as far afield as Canada, Japan and much of Eastern Europe, as well as being a festival favourite whilst still making time to play his London residences, such as his residency at London’s Jazz Cafe.

FOOD & DRINK - Kitchen open till 10pm

///////////////

Our Spice Trail Menu is predominantly plant based, with some ethically sourced meat options, as part of our conscious drive towards sustainability. Our passion is for the cooking of the Middle East and southern Mediterranean so expect punchy flavours, warm spices and as always the best ingredients we can find to comfort and nourish the soul.

With our drinks, we partner with breweries St Austell and Signature Brew for our lagers and IPAs and serve organic wine and prosecco which help international wildlife charity, Born Free. We design our spin on such drinks as Rum Punch, homemade Hackney Spiced Rum, Vegan White Russian and Espresso Martini.

GROW

////////////////

Grow, Hackney is an independent and self-organised eco-system of studios and a creative space with bars and a kitchen created out of an old sausage factory by the River Lea in Hackney Wick. It is run as an experiment in ethical and sustainable business and works in partnership with local artists, musicians, DJ's and community groups. Most events are reasonably priced at £5, less than a pint, from live jazz and blues, open deck reggae, open mic and art and film festivals. Grow pays London Living Wage, uses eco-electricty and sources ethical and locally wherever possible. Grow exists for music, art, food, conversation, community and belonging. Everyone is welcome.
