It’s fall in the Lowcountry and that means it’s time to bring back a Freshfields favorite, our Dogtoberfest event! This free, family-friendly afternoon will feature activities including an adoptable meet and greet with local rescue groups, pet vendors, a pet costume contest, food, and music. Beer and wine will be available for purchase from FortyEight Wine Bar & Kitchen.The pet costume contest will take place at 2:00 pm at the stage on The Village Green! All are welcome to participate as pet owners parade their precious pooches across the stage, competing for great prizes that are sure to make your furry friend wag their tail. Salt Marsh Animal Hospital will be the judge as they award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Participating rescues include Charleston Animal Society, Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, Carolina Coonhounds, and Grateful Goldens Rescue. Local vendors joining the fun include Dolittle’s, Salt Marsh Animal Hospital, Lowcountry Dog Treats, Lowcountry Dog Magazine, Oliver&Co, and Rainbow Row Fun Design, with more to come!
