DOGA with Gemma (Yoga with your dog!)

Join Yoga Teacher Gemma Kerr of Kiyomi Wellness and Cahris of It's Cahris' Pet Services for a fun 60 minute DOGA session for you and your fur buddy!

This SLOW FLOW DOGA event includes breathwork, meditation & yoga flow. Concentrating on connecting breath with movement for a mindful connection between mind and body.

Held at a boutique Doggy Daycare Centre in Burleigh Heads. BYO Dog, Sweat Towel, Yoga Mat and Water Bottle (no glassware please).

Yoga mats can be hired for an extra $5 fee on the day.

Here are some tips to ensure that you and your furry friend have a great time at our Doga event:

Bring your SOCAIL dog: It is imPAWtant that your dog is comfortable and confident around other dogs and people. This will help them (and you!) enjoy the class and make new friends.

Arrive early: Arrive at 11.45am for a 12 noon start. Allow your pooch to become comfortable around one another. Arriving early also gives your dog a chance to settle in. It's Cahris' Pet Services has a Social Saturday event prior to DOGA. This is run between 9am-11am for small dogs only and their PAWrents, feel free to attend this event prior to tire out your doggo. Encourage your dog to empty their tank: It's important that your dog goes to the 'toilet' before the class starts. This will help ensure that both you and your dog enjoy the class and feel more relaxed! Don’t forget to bring a waste bag for any smelly ones!

PETiquette: You may let you dog roam around freely, however if your dog becomes too much of a handful around other people and their dog, please pop them back on their lead. It is important that you respect these rules.

Keep an eye on your dog: You know your pet better than anyone else, so it’s important that you read any signals from them. If they appear stressed, it may be worth moving to a spot slightly further away from other class members or even taking them outside.

Please note this is not a serious Yoga session but we aim to make this a well worth stretch and pat event!

Your dog must be super social, toilet trained, up to date with their Canine Cough vaccination plus Flea and Tick Medic*tion. This event is for small to medium breeds only and male doggos MUST be desexed if over the age of 7 months. There will be a waiver for you to read and sign prior to walking into the dog daycare floor space.
