This course is for all dogs over 10 months at commencement, who have completed their vaccinations and have a few basic skills, perhaps completed the early puppy foundation course although not essential.but are now ready to improve their "Skills for Life"
The syllabus is over 6 sessions with an opportunity to take The Kennel Club Bronze Award or Silver test on a separate session. (allow for an additional 2) total of eight.
Goldmark Dogs are proud to have Approved Listed Status with the Kennel Club for the Good Citizen Dog Scheme, and all the courses are run under their guidelines. This is the largest Dog training Scheme in the UK.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
• We will teach you how to train your dog to walk nicely on a lead and behave in a controlled manner around distractions, including other animals and people.
• To come back when called. - Recall.
• To stay in one position, when asked.
• Not to jump up at you or your visitors.
• To be well mannered around food.
• To be a balanced and socialised dog that you can take anywhere.
• PLUS, we train in a safe and clean environment with a maximum of six dogs.

There will be opportunities to interact with the other dogs off lead on the course as part of the socialisation. This will be only under supervision. Therefore, if you feel that your dog will become fearful/aggressive please advise me beforehand, so that we can take action to remedy this.
