About this Event
The Humane Society is excited to offer this free dog training and behavior class, held every Tuesday night from 6-6:45 pm in Eagle, CO. This 6-week course is designed to help you and your dog build a strong bond while focusing on positive reinforcement techniques. When you sign up for the start date, you’re automatically enrolled for the entire 6-week session.
This class is made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of Wags & Whiskers in Edwards.
The class is led by certified dog trainers Char Gonsenica (CPDT-KA) and Emily Challis (ABCDT, FF, FDM) with the support of our dedicated volunteers, Lara and Tati. Together, they bring a wealth of experience and personalized attention to help you and your dog succeed.
Important Note: The first night is for people only! Please do not bring your pet to the first session. If the weather allows, feel free to leave your dog safely in the car.
During the first class, we’ll dive into understanding your dog’s behavior, reading dog body language, how dogs learn, and, most importantly, how to build a positive relationship with your furry friend. A strong bond sets the foundation for a well-mannered and happy family pet!
The remaining 5 weeks are hands-on sessions for both you and your dog.
Please bring to class:
- A regular leash (no retractable leashes)
- Special diet treats (we’ll have treats available as well)
If you miss a week or two, no worries—we’ll help you and your dog catch up on what you missed!
Feel free to reach out to Char with any questions by phone, email, or text at [email protected] or 970-280-5738.
