This workshop is for dog owners that would like to learn some massage strokes to support their furry loved ones, to assist with your dogs health and wellness and to support connection and bonding.If you have an interest in learning how to massage your dog with comfort and ease and would like a connected afternoon with your furry loved one, this workshop is for you!
What you learn:
- On this Dog massage workshop we learn some classic Swedish massage techniques, some calming energy gentle hand holds and an introduction to using Trigger points mindfully with your furry friends.
These techniques will support and enhance your relationship with your pets and make a positive difference to aches and pains, anxiety and stress, just through touch.
You will be part of an intimate group with only 6 dogs in each workshop, learning the basic muscles and skeletal structures of our canine friends. You will leave with a wonderful skill base, that you will be able to practice in the comfort of your own home.
About the experience:
YES! You are bringing your dog in for this massage workshop. Please make sure your pet has had their basic needs met - food, exercise and playtime before attending this workshop. Please bring your dogs bed into the workshop space with you. We will be sitting on the floor with our pets to learn our massage techniques. Please note that all dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the entire workshop.
You will be the only person massaging your dog in this workshop. Gay will be facilitating from the front of the room with her dog, and demonstrating all of the massage techniques. There will be a comprehensive manual to take home with all the techniques and sequences for review post the course.
Gay is a qualified and experienced remedial massage instructor with over 30 years experience as a massage consultant. Gay will offer you guidance throughout the workshop with
visual, audio and hands on learning techniques to help you learn the correct way to massage your dog.
We will be working in a friendly, safe and nurturing environment at Bodyriches wellness center. An oasis of calm and beauty. Afternoon tea will be provided in our break - a moment to relax and connect in our Bodyriches center gardens and day beds, with other owners and dogs.
Post registering for this workshop, you will be contacted to complete a short questionnaire form before attending the Dog massage course at Body Riches.
