🐾 4 WEEK CAFE ETIQUETTE COURSEHI everyone, I'm delighted to announce I'm teaming up with the Apple Tree restaurant at Brimsmore Gardens to host dog etiquette courses. Location: Apple Tree Restaurant, Yeovil , BA21 3NU
Price: £60 per dog (£15/session)
Duration: 4 weeks, 1 x 1 hour session on Saturday mornings (Weekly from Saturday 4th to Saturday 25th October)
Week 1: Calm Arrival & Settling at the Table
- Greeting staff and other dogs politely
- Practicing calm entry and leash manners
- Teaching dogs to settle under or beside the table
- Managing excitement and distractions (smells, sounds, people)
Week 2: Table Manners & Impulse Control
- Ignoring food on tables and floors
- Practicing “leave it” and “watch me” cues
- Staying relaxed while owners eat or drink
- Handling dropped food or unexpected movement
Week 3: Social Etiquette & Public Interaction
- Navigating tight spaces and busy environments
- Greeting strangers appropriately (or ignoring when needed)
- Building confidence around clattering dishes, chairs, and foot traffic
- Practicing polite behavior with restaurant staff
Week 4: Real-Life Café Challenge & Graduation
- Simulated café experience with real distractions
- Owners enjoy a drink while dogs practice all learned skills
- Certificate presentation and photo opportunity
- Q&A and tips for continuing café outings confidently
