Hutt City’s newest dog park opens to the public (and their pooches) this May 15, 2021.This Saturday, the Les Dalton Dog Park, named in honour of Les Dalton – a dedicated animal control worker who served Lower Hutt for nearly 45 years – will be officially opened to the public.
Hutt City Council is marking the occasion with a Dog Day Out – an open invite to the public and their dogs to come check out the park, and grab some treats!
To help celebrate the opening, there will be stalls hosting specialist canine services, as well as a a vet in attendance to give advice and guidance on keeping your fur babies safe and well.
Hutt City Council’s Animal Services team will also be on site, and and there will be plenty of yummy BBQ food on offer.
The park is located in Wainuiomata, at the end of Waiu Street, adjacent to the mountain bike park.
Dog's are not a prerequisite, but if you have one, bring him or her: they'll love it!
