Dog and Pony Shows presents Pixels
Pixels is an animated show co-created by improvisers and a live audience.
True stories from the audience inspire animated shorts in real-time. Every show is different from big adventures to tiny romances, spooky hauntings and impossible mysteries.
Pixels premiered in 2018 at the Winnipeg International Fringe Festival and has presented the show at the Winnipeg Improv Festival and the In/On/Out Inter-Arts Festival.
Dog & Pony Shows is Stephen Sim and Caity Curtis, who are best known for their work in improvised theatre and have both performed across Canada, Europe and the United States. Together they run the Winnipeg Improv Festival and The Improv Company training centre. Stephen has toured internationally for many years in the improv duo CRUMBS. Caity teaches masterclasses in narrative improv both inside and outside of virtual reality.
“The duo do break out an improv. They’re so sufficiently adept they’d make you think it was scripted….” -Winnipeg Free Press
