About this Event
We are taking over the RMIT basketball courts in A'Beckett St for a couple of hours of fun social dodgeball & basketball. We'll have one court for each sport. All genders and abilities welcome!
For those of you who don't know what dodgeball is....
Dodgeball is a team sport in which players on two teams try to throw balls and hit opponents, while avoiding being hit themselves. The objective of each team is to eliminate all members of the opposing team by hitting them with thrown balls, catching a ball thrown by an opponent, or inducing an opponent to commit a violation, such as stepping outside the court.
Teams are made up of 6-10 players on each side.
The plan is to meet on Level 9 and then walk up to the RMIT Uni basketball courts. We will divide players up into two teams . The Student Experience Team will assist with explaining the game rules and refereeing.
What to bring:
- Sports clothing
- Water
- Appropriate Footwear to play in (Runners/sneakers)
I'm not very sporty and I've never played Dodgeball before. Should I still join in?
Yes absolutely! This will be a friendly & fun game that requires limited skill and experience. The more the merrier!
