Documenting Little Bahamas of Coconut Grove

A hands on photography workshop where participants will take photos of the Little Bahamas neighborhood of Coconut Grove.
About this Event

This workshop is a part of a Library of Congress American Folklife Center funded project: Documenting Goombay and Little Bahamas of Coconut Grove. Photographs taken by participants will become a part of a permanent digital collection maintained by the Library of Congress.

1:30-2:30: Photographers Alon Skuy and C.W. Griffin will conduct a workshop on how to best capture urban landscapes.

2:30-4:30: Workshop participants will have two hours to capture images of Little Bahamas. Suggestions will be provided regarding specific sites of interest but participants will have free reign with regard to what they decide to photograph.

4:30-5:30: Everyone will reconvene at Sanctaury of the Arts at 136 Frow Avenue to discuss a selection of photos taken during the photowalk.
