Join EwA’s Invasive Flora Patrol Workshop!

Join Earthwise Aware (EwA) for a hands-on workshop to learn how to document invasive plant species using EwA’s Invasive Flora Patrol online platform and mobile app. Your contributions will help protect urban green spaces by providing critical data on the occurrence, abundance, coverage, and seasonal timing of invasive plants. This information supports EwA’s biodiversity and climate studies, informing ecological assessments and management strategies for sensitive areas.

• Identify some of the main invasive plants in the Boston area.
• Record and document invasive plant sightings.
• Upload photos and geo-tagged locations.
• Contribute to a centralized database accessible to researchers and policymakers.

Community participation is essential in tracking invasive flora and mitigating their impact. By leveraging modern technology and collective effort, we can drive meaningful conservation actions that safeguard our urban ecosystems.
