About this Event
🎬 Documentary Screening - 2000 metres to Andriivka
“2000 Meters to Andriivka” is the new documentary from the Oscar-winning team behind “20 Days in Mariupol.” Co-produced by Mstyslav Chernov and Alex Babenko, the documentary follows a Ukrainian brigade advancing through a heavily fortified forest toward the occupied village of Andriivka.
Through the original frontline footage, the film captures soldiers’ physical exhaustion, uncertainty, and the moral weight of fighting for small stretches of land at immense cost.
Following the film, we will engage in an in-person discussion with Alex Babenko, the film’s operator and Associated Press reporter, about the making of the documentary and the realities it captures.
Organised in collaboration with Cambridge4Ukraine and Gonville and Caius Law Society.
