What does it feel like to grow up in times of war? In a documentary film, they developed themselves, nine Ukrainian girls provide a unique insight into their lives - into everyday life in a state of emergency. The film, which was created as part of the "Teen Angst" project, tells personal, honest radical stories of a search for security and contentment. As a documentary film project, the young women are co-authors of their own lives: How much is left for oneself when fear for family and fellow human beings, when death, separation and trauma are omnipresent?
We invite you to the film screening and Q&A with the team and Ukrainian co-authors:

More about the project:
The "Teen Angst" project has been implemented since March 2024 by the organisations Platform TU (Ukraine), Kaņepes Kultūras centrs (Latvia) and bridgeworks (Germany). The aim is to address the complex emotions of Ukrainian young people both in Ukraine and in the diaspora and make them tangible.
"Teen Angst" attempts to provide psychotherapeutic and creative support for life in a new context and in a new environment,
thereby strengthening the expression and resilience of the participants. The first phase of the project comprised a digital two-month course accompanied by the Ukrainian director Inga Pylypchuk, during which the film was jointly developed. The second phase will take the participants, aged between 16 and 20, to Berlin and Riga for a week for the film premiere and workshops.
