About this Event
The Twilight Adult Education Ph*rm*cy Technician - Hybrid Delivery program prepares students to earn a California Ph*rm*cy Technician license, pass the Ph*rm*cy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) national certification exam and attain successful employment at a Ph*rm*cy. Students learn basic pharmacology, Ph*rm*cy calculations, deciphering and filling Medic*tion orders, reconstitution of medications, medical terminology, basic anatomy, physiology, and Ph*rm*cy operations among other critical topics.
The Twilight Adult School Phlebotomy Technician Program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform blood collection safely and efficiently in hospitals, laboratories, and clinical settings. The program prepares students for the California State Phlebotomy Certification Exam, opening doors to employment as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-1).
Graduates will gain a strong foundation in:
- Anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system
- Blood collection procedures and safety protocols
- Infection control and laboratory best practices
- Professional ethics and patient care
This comprehensive training includes classroom instruction, hands-on lab practice, and a supervised clinical externship in a medical facility.
