About this Event
Event Title: "do you know how to make lumpia?"
Description: A multi-short film showcase from 24-year-old Filipino-American immigrant "ienne!" displaying various moments, memories, and feelings that represent the diverse blend of culture, art, and life that was the modern-day America he grew up in.
About the filmmaker: "Ienne!" is a narrative filmmaker native to the Philippines who currently resides in Jacksonville, FL. His films revolve around topics such as the Filipino-American experience and concepts such as perspective and feelings we can't explain. He aims to present these stories in ways that are almost "genre-undefined" and believes that limits are meant for breaking. Since graduating the University of North Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Film and Production, he participates in the local film community while also continuing to make his own films and works to one day be a director-writer whose films impact others the way he's been impacted by films all his life.
