Do you want to know how you shop with a lot less plastic? More sustainable? And which shops you can go to that will accept your own packaging? You can follow the Do It Yourself tour and visit a number of shops in your town where they are used to people who bring their own packaging.
In the Week zonder Afval (the Week without trash (25-31 May) you can follow the tour and the shops listed in it will know that they can expect a visit. You will receive an e-mail with all the information needed before the week starts.
Wat gaan we doen?
- Guide Katja has put together a nice tour of Zero Waste locations for you. In her search for waste-free shopping, she has made great local discoveries. She is happy to share with you which addresses you can go to with your own packaging and where you can buy plastic-free products. The Self-guided tour takes you past these locations and a number of other sustainable addresses. This way, as a participant, you get the best tips and waste reduction is no longer that difficult!
- You will visit at least five locations, with a diverse offering. Think of fresh supplies, a store, a greengrocer, bulk products, places where you can repair or buy second-hand items, and a lunchroom or coffee shop. You can also recognize these locations after the tour by the Zero Waste window sticker, which says 'Feel free to bring your own packaging'. During the tour you will meet great sustainable entrepreneurs who often have a good story to tell. Get inspired!
What will you bring on the tour?
- Good shoes for a walking tour, or your bike for a cycling tour;
- And umbrella or rain gear if the weather is wet;
- Your own shopping bag(s) and reusable jars, containers and bags, for purchases on the go;
- A cup for coffee or tea.
Important information
The tickets are non-refundable (no refund possible). We are a small citizen organization and do everything voluntarily. If you are unable to participate, we will consider your ticket price as a donation to this initiative. Then your ticket will expire and go to someone on the waiting list.
