This limited-seat, hands-on educational workshop will cover an integrated design workflow of fixed offshore wind, i.e., foundation modelling, hydrodynamics, time-domain simulation, structural response, and post-processing.
The main objective of the workshop is to highlight the speed and efficiency with which Sesam calculates member and tubular joint code check results and fatigue life based on time domain wind loads from turbine design tools like DNV’s Bladed. You will also learn how easy it is to modify and re-run models during design iterations. The workflow is in accordance with IEC61400-3 and DNV-ST-0126.
The workshop will include hands-on instruction using DNV’s Sesam software, the market leader in offshore wind foundation design. If you are new to Sesam, you can already learn more about the modelling capabilities from DNV’s free Sesam.Starter package.
Attendees will have the opportunity to receive PE credits for participating.
