We are now issuing the DMV Learners Permit test at William Byrd High School and our next testing session has been scheduled. The next test session will take place on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25th at 3:30 pm in the WBHS Library. Registration is available from the link provided in the parent letter attached to this email. YOUR STUDENT MUST BE REGISTERED TO TAKE THE TEST! Students must also bring the paper copy of the consent letter to test as well. If your student has tested previously here at Byrd, they will need to register AGAIN for this particular test and bring a new consent form.
Your student must be at least 15 years and 6 months on or before the test date. We will continue to offer this test once a month here at William Byrd. Once a student has failed the test twice, they must test at the DMV.
Students will need a ride home at the end of the test - the test typically takes 30-60 min.

To test:
1. Register with the link provided on the parent letter attached to the email from Mrs. Carrell.
2. Students must download the DMV Securitest Icon on the school computer (directions attached) before entering the testing site.
3. Get parent consent signed (paper attached or can get from Ms. Thornton at school) - students cannot test without them.
4. Be on time for the test session.
