Last spring, Des Moines Public Schools hosted community roundtables and conducted an online survey to talk about how we, as a community, can do more to create safe, healing schools and communities. We invite you to come together again to hear about and discuss the information gathered from those conversations, the steps DMPS have taken since then, and what we have planned next.We are grateful for the opportunity we’ve had to analyze and reflect on the meaningful feedback provided by so many people in this process and are already taking intentional steps to implement many of the ideas you shared. We remain deeply committed to listening. Your involvement in these conversations, your ideas and feedback, are critical in creating environments for students, families, staff, and our entire community to thrive together.
