Save the Date DMJ Fall Foliage ride Saturday October 11thJoin DMJ as we explore the scenic Appalachian Mountains. The Farmer’s Almanac has our planned area in peak foliage mid-October, fingers crossed.
Driving south on the Blue Ridge Parkway (not Skyline drive) we are planning to stop at a few breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountain overlooks. We will make our way to Buena Vista for fuel and a bathroom break. Then off to explore the George Washington National Forest. Planning to see a few waterfalls, cross a few creeks, and even drive through a drainage tunnel under the Blue Ridge Parkway. As a bonus adventure on the drive home there is a stop at the newly opened Buck-ee’s.
This will be a stock friendly drive, but we will encounter water crossing, mud, small rocks, and when driving trails, the ever-present pinstriping.
