About this Event
Belmont Hall is a Georgian manor home built by Thomas Collins, 8th Governor of Delaware. Completed in 1773, the home and several acres of land were once farmed and owned by Collins family descendants, the Speakmans, until 1987 when the historic property was sold to the State of Delaware.
Today the house and grounds are maintained by the Friends of Belmont Hall, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The Friends of Belmont Hall will open its doors, offering tours of the historic house and grounds, with light refreshments, and enlightening anecdotes on April 24 at 4 p.m. when it hosts an afternoon soiree for the Delaware Museum Association.
