About this Event
KCCC are hosting training for Designated Liaison Persons (DLPs) and Deputy Designated Liaison Persons (DDPLs) responsible for child safeguarding in Early Learning and School-Age Childcare services.
This 3.5 hour training aims to provide DLPs and DDLPs with comprehensive guidance on their roles and responsibilities, focusing on effective communication, response strategies, and reporting protocols for child safeguarding concerns.
To participate, individuals must have completed the foundational Always Children First: Foundation Training and the Always Children First DLP eLearning module. The eLearning module serves as a prerequisite and must be completed within two weeks prior to the in-person workshop.
There is a €10 charge per participant for this training. A booking cannot be confirmed until payment is completed.
Throughout the training, we'll delve into practical scenarios and best practices to equip DLPs with the skills and knowledge necessary to recognise, address, and report potential child safeguarding issues effectively. Our aim is to ensure that all participants are well-prepared and equipped to fulfill their crucial roles in maintaining the safety and well-being of children in Early Learning and School-Age Childcare settings.
