Djembé Workshop Initiation ✨️

This is a fun and interactive workshop where you will have the chance to feel and play different rhythms & variations and be swept away by the groove and the power of playing together as a group.

This workshop is accessible for everyone who wants to learn a new skill in a fun way, but even people who have been drumming for a while are welcome and will be able to fine tune their technic and pick up some rhythms and cool phrases.

Drumming is known to have a positive effect on the brain and overall well-being. Besides learning new skills and rhythms, it is also a workout that boosts your immune system and releases endorphins.

The Djembé Initiation will be facilitated by Sofie Heye. She has been drumming for many years and had several teachers who taught her traditional West African Rhythms. She has been fortunate to also have Babara Bangoura as her teacher, who has been passing on teachings of his culture and Mama di keita.

Back in Belgium she facilitated many djembé workshops for children, adults and Teambuildings.
