Join DJ Superheidi for an interactive workshops about music for swing dancers, things to consider, tools of the trade, how to prep at home, and what to expect at the booth. The focus will be on social dancing and is especially suitable for beginner and aspiring swing DJs.DJ Superheidi started the DJ adventure right here at Roffaswing and has travelled all over Europe and to the US to DJ at small and big events for swing dancers. Our homegrown DJ is happy to share some of her experiences and knowledge she gathered along the way.
The workshops are divided into two parts on different days, allowing us to maintain a more relaxed pace and give you more time to absorb the information. You can join either session separately if you can't attend both days.
In Part 1, we will discuss music for swing dancers, how to find it, and what to consider. Part 2 will cover how to prepare for a gig and what to expect at the DJ booth.
You don’t need to bring anything—just your questions, and maybe a notebook if you feel inspired!
We decided to make the workshop free to attend, as we’re grateful to use the Swing in Rhythm studio at no cost. Roaffaswing is a small non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, and everything we invest goes directly into the community. We invite you to invest in our community in various ways, such as attending events, volunteering, or perhaps even discovering the fun of DJing for your fellow dancers.
