Marcelo Rojas DJ for the first time in ATHENS!Marcelo Rojas is a globally renowned Argentine Tango DJ with over 30 years of experience. He is considered a leading figure in the world of Tango, known for his exceptional ability to capture the essence of Buenos Aires in his music selections. His work extends beyond DJing to include organizing events, curating music for radio, and acting as a cultural ambassador for Tango across the globe.
Marcelo has organized the iconic Milonga at the traditional Confitería Ideal in Buenos Aires for over 20 years. This venue has been a cornerstone of the Tango community, drawing dancers from around the world to experience authentic Argentine Tango.
Radio
He is the musical programmer at FM 92.7 La 2x4, the official Tango radio station of Buenos Aires, where he curates and broadcasts Tango music, preserving and promoting the genre's rich heritage.
International Tango DJ
Since 2010, Marcelo has embarked on over 65 international tours, bringing the soul of Buenos Aires Tango to audiences across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He has DJ’d at numerous prestigious Tango festivals and milongas, including the World Tango Festival in Buenos Aires and other major events in Europe and Asia.
