Join Bards Alley and local author and former Bards Alley bookseller D.J. LeMarr on Wednesday, August 11, from 5-7PM for a socially distanced outdoor signing of his new book, The Dying of Bobby Mars. Preorders are encouraged, but not required. No RSVP required.

We're tentatively dipping our toes into the waters of in-person events, and that includes some patio signings! As always, we ask that partially and un-vaccinated individuals wear a mask and social distance, for the health and safety of our authors, staff, and community. If you are experiencing COVID-like symptoms or have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend in-person events. Instead, feel free to order the book over the phone so we can have it signed for you to pick up when you're out of the woods!

D. J. LeMarr is a novelist and tragic poet. He was born in a small town not worth mentioning and served 4 years as a casket bearer in our nation’s finest cemetery. He now resides in the Washington D.C. area, and spends his time reading, being entirely too rude to his imaginary characters, and drinking coffee late into the night. He is also the leader of Bards Alley's Science Fiction/Fantasy Book Club.

Tyler slaps his bass like he’s trying to find the festering crowd’s vein and gift them a high worth celebrating. I wish Dad were here to see this, but whatever, it won’t matter soon anyways.
Seeing this all again is hell.
Haven’t slept in two days. Probably won’t sleep tonight. Hard to say, don’t really remember today. It’s all a blur from another life ago. I used to think this was glorious—most of me still does, probably always will—but seeing us fly this close to the sun for the momentary glory...
