Inspired by the DIY parties of the UK and reggae soundsystem culture, Galen founded Sunset Sound System in Berkeley, California, hosting free weekly park gatherings that grew into large dance and picnic events. Today, Sunset Sound System hosts boat and outdoor parties and the internationally acclaimed Sunset Campout Festival. Galen is celebrated for his deep, soulful grooves and expertly crafted sets, has toured extensively and curated stages at European festivals, and released original music on various labels.
