Ticket purchase is required.Learn the art of creating a wax-resist egg with traditional tools and dyes! Originating from Pagan traditions, pysanky are made by "writing" designs on raw eggs with hot wax, which protects the shell from dye creating intricate and colorful patterns. Historically, some versions of these decorated eggs have retained their pagan symbolism of rebirth of the earth in spring, while others have added religious symbols and motifs.
Kelley will guide you through the process of creating this art on a pre-sketched egg while we enjoy refreshments and have a relaxing evening together! Each participant will complete 2 (two) pysanky to take home with them! *Blank eggs will be available for freehand designs.
