DIY Bookbinding in the Garden Room

This ticketed event will follow our free Roundtable Open Lecture, featuring lectures on embroidery, orality & literacy, and gene editing from local experts!

This workshop will focus on designing and binding a homemade book. Bring your own text or use a sample from the shop to layout, print, and construct a small book. All materials are included in this stand-alone class.

Sacramento print artist Mark Mattney will lead our group through the process, with a focus on layout, designing text and images for print, and constructing a book from a source of your choice!

This is a BYOBook event: Bring your own digital photos, scans, or texts to work with our studio equipment, including scanners, design software, and the physical tools required to print and bind a book.
