Learn to be independent in your home whilst making some new like-minded friends in the relaxed and friendly environment at the gorgeous Grappenhall Heyes Walled Garden, Warrington, Cheshire. Spend the day in the bright and airy glasshouse whilst looking out onto the spectacular gardens.During the day you will learn:
– Hammering, drilling & fixings: drill bits, fitting rawl plugs, screws & nails
- How to use a drill
– Hanging a level picture & shelf
– Filling gaps & fillers
– Painting and Decorating
– Electrical: rewire a plug/change a fuse, rewire a light fitting
– Plumbing: replacing a tap washer, repair a leaky water pipe, drain a radiator
– And many more useful tips
Please don’t worry if you are a complete novice! I will start from the beginning and explain all about the tools and techniques to with some invaluable tips from my own experience.
Alternatively if you have dabbled a little in the world of DIY already, but want to develop your skills, then this is the course for you. The numbers are kept small (6 to 10) to allow for one-to-one instruction for much of the time during the day.
Each workshop will run from 10am to 3pm with lunch break and plenty of coffee/tea/cake in between.
Everything you will need for the workshop is included in the price and will be provided.
