About this Event
What part do you want DIY to play in developing your personal style? This introductory course lays the foundation for all your future DIY endeavors. By defining your goals and creating a personal plan, you pave the way for a more successful – and fun – journey to finding your personal style.
In this class, we will explore what YOU want to get out of secondhand shopping – and what categories to steer clear from. This way, you can shop with focus, and find greater success. I’ll help you develop a plan so that you can furnish your home and build your wardrobe out of delightful secondhand pieces, and still have fun at the thrift shop!
Together, we will spell out your crafting dreams: what do you want to try? What do you want to steer clear of? By determining how much of a challenge you want – and DON’T want – you know what sorts of projects to look for, and which ones to avoid. We will talk about how to craft with intention, choose your battles, and give yourself permission to experiment.
The materials we will use are designed to go home with you, so you can continue fleshing out your project goals. At the end, you will go home with a prepared template that will guide you through future decision-making, as you explore and build your personal style.
You can walk through the class with an eye toward your clothes & fashion or your home decor & interior design – or both!
