Do it with others, we said. Doing it with others, we are. Almost a year ago we talked the talk, and now it’s time walk the walk(or dance the dance, if you will)Last year we hosted the Doing It With Others(DIWO), a 4-part event series with which we wanted to highlight the value of creative collaboration and provide an opportunity for like-minded people to exchange ideas and knowledge. We hosted panel discussions and talks touching upon different facets of the creative world that we all are part of, here in Glasgow. But it's time to change it up a bit.
For this evolution of DIWO, we are leaving the well lit rooms of CCA, and moving into the dark basement at The Flying Duck where we'll let the music spread the idea of creative collaboration. Half Past Now is teaming up with the breakbeat aficionados Gunk.gla to take the theory we learnt in the DIWO series and make it a reality.
In this collaboration at The Flying Duck we will showcase our shared love for the broken and the wobbly, with Mon_baga B2B Ragrets starting the night with their trademark voluptuous sounds, followed by Kernius and his record bag filled with charity shop drum’n’bass and jungle. To finish off our collaborative resistance against the beats of the repetitive kind, Gunk’s Temple Sniper and Marky Marbles will see us off into the night with 2-hour b2b,
breaking the beats and dropping the wubs along the way.
So get ready to chase the beat with your dance moves, pack a finger gun or two, wear your retro jacket and join us at the Flying Duck.
