Diwali in Dunwoody: Rangoli and Diya Making Workshops
Create Dunwoody invites you to join us at Spruill Center for the Arts for an interactive and educational workshop providing insights into Indian culture. Participants will learn how to make rangoli, an art form that is used to welcome prosperity and happiness during the Diwali season. Attendees will also explore Diya, or lamps, workshop that will allow participants to make and decorate clay lamps that are lit during Diwali to signify triumph of light over darkness.
Whether you're familiar with Diwali or simply curious to learn more about this beautiful celebration, we welcome you to join us! This event is perfect for all ages.

What to expect: Each workshop is one hour. The instructor will provide insight into the cultural significance of each art form and allow participants to create and design their own rangoli and diya. Supplies and materials will be provided.
Location: Spruill Center for the Arts - 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338
Workshop Timing: Workshops will begin promptly at the time selected during registration:
- Workshop 1: 3 - 4 PM
- Workshop 2: 4 - 5:30 PM
Parking: Parking will be complimentary for guests. Guests are invited to park in the Dunwoody Library parking lot in addition to the lot in the back of the Spruill Arts building. We also encourage utilizing ride shares, to avoid any challenges with parking.

Led by Create Dunwoody, Diwali in Dunwoody is a three-part celebration to honor the Diwali, the South Asian community's Festival of Lights.
The events will offer a diverse range of activities and events that showcase the essence of Diwali and the City of Dunwoody's community landmarks. Residents and visitors alike are invited to join in the celebration, immerse themselves in the cultural splendor, and experience the warmth and vibrancy of this ancient celebration.
