Metro is pleased to invite our Santa Monica neighbors, partners, and transit riders to join us for a friendly and informative morning at Metro’s Division 14 Open House on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the local Metro Division, meet the team that maintains and operates the E Line fleet, and learn about several noise-mitigation improvements implemented in response to community feedback. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
Open House Activities
Whether you live nearby, ride the train, or are simply interested in how Metro maintains its rail system, the Division 14 Open House will provide you with the opportunity to:
- Tour the Division 14 train yard* and maintenance facilities
- Explore Metro rail equipment up close
- Learn about day-to-day rail operations in Santa Monica
- See recent improvements made in response to neighborhood concerns
- Engage with Metro staff about community programs and upcoming initiatives
Getting to Division 14
The entrance to the Division is at Ishihara Park: 2909 Exposition Blvd, Santa Monica
By public transit, it's a 12-minute walk from either the E Line Bergamot / 26th St. station or the Expo / Bundy station. If driving, parking is street parking only (please check all street signs and respect our neighbors).
