KCC invites you to Divine Dhrupad — an immersive evening of the Darbhanga tradition with hereditary musician Dr. Sumeet Anand. Steeped in devotion and the grandeur of India’s oldest classical form, Dhrupad carries the listener into a meditative space, where the unfolding Aalap, the poetry of Sanskrit and Braj Bhasha, and the resonant pulse of the Pakhawaj merge into one timeless soundscape.
Accompanied by Shri Nishaant Singh on the Pakhawaj, the recital will traverse the spiritual, the seasonal, and the natural — culminating in Upaj, a spontaneous dialogue of melody and rhythm that celebrates both discipline and freedom.
