Jungist is Hong Kong born, Eora/Sydney based DJ, producer and curator. With a grounding in club-ready, dubby low frequencies and penchant for versatility, their eclectic blends and flair for the dark and dramatic has seen Jungist share lineups with bass visionaries including Mala, Kode9, Goth-Trad, Pariah, Ivy Lab, Truth, Loefah, RSD, Giant Swan, Plastician, ZULI, Machinedrum, Sully, 4am Kru, Digital, DJ Marky, Chase & Status. A true post-genre artist with hard bass and dynamic, deconstructed percussion up their sleeve, Jungist continues to prescribe packed dancefloors with low frequency medicine.
Jungist is a mainstay of independent radio, hosting ‘Variable Depth Audit’ an exploration of experimental bass music weekly Saturday nights 10PM-12AM. Jungist is co-founder of events and mix series, Decay Audio. With a finger on the pulse of the underground, Jungist has curated some of the finest lineups, disrupting the state of electronic music in Sydney, Eora. Born out of a passion and thirst for a darker sound, the Decay mix series showcases talent from around the world, offering artists a platform to experiment and break away from convention.
