Welcome to the **August 2024 ABWA Chapter Meeting** titled "Diversity Isn't a Scary Word" featuring the incredible Kristina Perez! Join us at the **Embassy Suites by Hilton College Station** for an engaging in-person event where we will explore the importance of diversity in the workplace. Kristina Perez will share her insights and experiences, offering valuable perspectives on embracing diversity.
About the Speaker:
Kristina Perez is a seasoned executive with a wealth of experience in designing programs, fostering development opportunities, and bringing concepts to life. With over twenty years of service to her community, Kristina has held leadership roles in non-profits, school district administration, and as CEO of an educational company. Currently, she contributes her expertise to the Houston Community College Foundation.
Kristina holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Special Education and a Master of Education in Educational Psychology, both from Texas A&M University. She is also pursuing a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Capella University Online.
A dedicated member of the American Business Women’s Association since 2015, Kristina has also been active in the Federation of Houston Professional Women, Latinas-N-Heels, the Daughters of Abraham, the Anti-Defamation League, and SIOP. She serves on the boards of the local YMCA and Shield-Bearer Counseling Centers.
Recognized as a 2022 Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW) Woman of Excellence and one of the 2024 Top Ten American Business Women for ABWA, Kristina's relational intelligence and commitment to community make her an inspiring leader and speaker.
