Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Speaker: Laurie Louise Sale
Administrative Office of the Courts
DEI initiatives have become increasingly important as agencies and departments strive to rise to the challenges and create a more equitable and inclusive workplace for ALL employees. The onset of workplace diversity training can be traced back to the introduction of EEO laws and affirmative action, so it has been around for a while! Today’s DEI initiatives are designed to address all issues regarding employee discrimination, biases, differences of opinions, and marginalization and to create a culture of respect, and inclusion for employees from all backgrounds.
After this session attendees will:
• Understand the DEI initiatives that organizations must embrace today.
• Recognize issues such as unconscious bias, differences of opinion, and employee marginalization.
• Resolve DEI issues for a better, more inclusive and productive workplace.
