Minority Mental Health Awareness Month is recognized throughout the month of July to bring further awareness and understanding of the mental health needs and lived experiences within BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) populations, communities who face disproportionate inequities in care, additional support or access to mental health services in this country. Join us for a panel from clinicians with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.Learning Objectives:
1. Learn about the challenges/barriers affiliated with accessing mental health services within diverse populations and cultural differences
2. Identify toxic traits that hinder access to care and learn how to bridge the gap to better services within our community and surroundings.
3. Learn ways to help reduce the stigma and bring communal discussions where healthcare providers can work together.
*Refreshments will be provided
