Fun 3 hour Reading workshop for Rising First Graders!About this Event
Center for Psychological Health has partnered with certified teachers in order to provide reading enrichment for rising first grade students. We would love to have your youngster join us for a fun filled 3 hour reading workshop. During our time together we will explore skills that they will need in first grade in a fun, thematic way. Our ocean-themed activities will include:
- Playing phonemic awareness games
- Listening to, discussing, and responding to a story with an art based craft
- Using problem solving skills in a STEM activity (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
- Playing in ocean themed literacy based activities
- Reading a recipe and creating a fun ocean themed snack
