Join us once again for our annual Ditty Bag Stuffing Party!During the holiday season, the Seattle Seafarers Center (Mission to Seafarers) gives away over 1,000 ditty bags to merchant seafarers. These small gifts are one way we welcome and care for seafarers during the holiday season, especially while they are far away from their homes and families.
On Saturday, November 23, from 10 am to Noon, join us at St. John the Baptist in West Seattle to stuff ditty bags, share stories about seafarers ministry, and bless the bags to be given away.
You also can participate in other ways:
- Purchase supplies, such as full sized deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo/body wash combo, and a toothbrush sealed in a single pack. See our website for a full list of items we collect: https://www.mts-seattle.org/ditty-bags
- Donate money or gift cards for purchasing ditty bag supplies
- Knit hats or sew bags! See our website for patterns.
- Drop off supplies, hats, and ditty bags at the Seattle Seafarers Center, or arrange for a pick-up before November 13.
