Named in honor of Willie (Will) Lee and Mamie Tee Walker, who owned the farm for 36 years before selling it to Mr. Joyner in 1982, the Walker Garden boasts a formally arranged perennial garden enclosed by a picturesque stone wall. The space is a perfect setting for reading, painting, or quiet reflection.
Bordered by a 2,000 linear foot stone ribbon wall, E. Carroll Joyner Park offers approximately three miles of paved walking trails - perfect for walking, bicycling, and in-line skating.
Remember, this does not necessarily have to be a Unit event…please spread the word to our Scouting families and promote the hikes as “family events”!
All you need to bring is a good pair of walking shoes, plenty of water and your enthusiasm. Nature will provide the rest! We hope to see you on the trail. Rain or shine! And donations gladly accepted to pay for patches and awards at the end of the year.
