Have you ever sat through a concert and been just fine with the Mozart and the Brahms, but bewildered by the contemporary composition at the end? Did you wonder if the composer was trying to put one over on you? Did you think it was ugly, maybe not even music? Jon Grier - a composer himself - will try to lift the veil over what motivates the modern composer and offer some suggestions about how to hear these very different sounds.
